2024 China Zhejiang Industry Alliance Intellectual Property Management Forum

Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision Administration has successfully organized the "2024 China Zhejiang Industry Alliance Intellectual Property Forum" in the beautiful county of Tonglu. This is a major IP forum where all the IP Heads of 11 prefecture-level market supervision bureaus in the province, as well as the Heads of 46 registered and registering industrial IP alliances attended the meeting.     

The Director of Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision Administration Intellectual Property Utilization Promotion Division, the Deputy County Mayor, as well as other leaders attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by a senior researcher from the Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision Administration Intellectual Property Utilization Promotion Division.

During the Forum, various Market Supervision Administration bureaus and selected outstanding industrial IP alliances reported their 2023 IP performance evaluation and results. They also shared their experiences in helping companies better manage and improve their IP operations. Their sharing is valuable and will help the government bureaus and industrial IP alliances better support the companies in strengthening their IP strategies and operations.

The CEO of Excellectual IP Management Group, James Lim presented the Forum’s keynote address entitled "Patent Pool Development and Management". James’ profound professional skills and forward-looking vision has delivered many insights into how western companies manage their patent assets. He shared in an in-depth and straightforward way the various strategies for patent use, the exquisite layout of the monetization model, and the blueprint for the development of a patent pool. He also addressed the pain points and difficulties in the patent monetization process, providing valuable ideas and solutions to every audience present.

The Forum ends with a closed-door discussion on rectifying problems faced by some of the industrial IP alliances.
